Known for transforming perceptions of the double bass, Adam joins forces with acclaimed drummer Michael Olivera to deliver a groundbreaking duo project that redefines the interplay between bass and drums.
This self-produced collection of ten original pieces showcases Adam’s remarkable creativity, blending jazz, Latin, classical, and funk influences into an immersive sonic journey. The album, recorded across live sessions in Madrid and layered with additional instrumentation in Adam’s studio in Portugal, brings the bass to the forefront in innovative ways.
From the classical elegance of “Portrait of Natalie” to the flamenco-infused “Taming The Bull,” the title track’s Latin grooves, and the deep jazz-fusion vibe of “Hazy Steps,” Heavy Drops showcases Adam’s relentless curiosity and the boundless potential of the double bass, bringing its rich and dynamic sound to the forefront.
